I grew up in Illinois corn & soybean country (yes, I thought all soil was pitch black!). Moved to North Carolina more than 15 years ago & was easily won over by the amazing farming community in Cedar Grove. I wouldn't want to farm anywhere else!
I love the challenges farming throws at me every season & the eternal optimism of believing "there's always next year!" It's a joy to work with my hands in the soil & feel connected to the wildness surrounding my outdoor "office"
At Beth's Farm we follow organic standards but we are not currently seeking certification. We use organically approved practices; that means no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Improving the health of the soil goes hand in hand with producing good food.
